Crossing Over is developed and operated by Futuron Inc ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our iOS application.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Profile data — Names, personality traits, stories, and other details you enter about loved ones. This data is stored locally on your device.
• Conversations — Messages you exchange within the app are stored on your device and sent for AI processing only after consent.
• Photos — Profile and scene photos stay on your device unless you intentionally use one for a Gemini memory illustration.
• Device identifier — The app creates a random installation identifier used only for abuse prevention and rate limiting.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data — We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g., app opens, feature usage) to improve the app experience. This data cannot identify you personally.
• Purchase data — Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but not your payment details.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core app experience — generating AI-powered conversations based on profiles you create
• To process and manage your subscription
• To improve app performance and fix bugs
• To respond to support requests

4. AI & Third-Party Services

Crossing Over requires your explicit consent before any AI request. You can revoke this consent in the app at any time.

Anthropic Claude: When you use chat or memory extraction, your message, recent conversation context, the loved-one profile, and relevant memory-bank facts are sent through our Cloudflare Worker to Anthropic for processing. Review Anthropic’s Privacy Policy and Commercial Terms.

Google Gemini: When you choose to create a memory illustration, your prompt, loved-one profile details, and any photo you intentionally select are sent through our Cloudflare Worker to Google Gemini for image generation. Review Google’s Privacy Policy and Gemini API Terms.

Cloudflare: Requests pass through Cloudflare infrastructure for security, rate limiting, and routing. We do not maintain a server-side copy of your profile, conversation history, photos, or generated images. Review Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your profile data and conversation history are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain application databases containing your conversations or profiles; transient infrastructure logs may be retained by service providers for security and reliability under their policies. We use industry-standard security measures to protect any data transmitted to our services.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you for analytics purposes.

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Delete your data — Remove any profile or conversation from within the app at any time. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
• Cancel your subscription — Manage or cancel through iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Contact us — Request information about your data by emailing us.

8. Children's Privacy

Crossing Over is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
